TO
EDUCATE
We sponsor informative and neighbor friendly gatherings
that are educational events for the community. The topics of these eventsrange
from nuts and bolts sessions for historic home owners with experts on
painting, plastering, and gardening, to fun events, like the summer“trolley”
tours to show off Old Town, its history and its architecturalheritage
to visitors. The Conservancy has developed a resource library on preservation
and restoration of historic homes that ishoused at the Tustin Area Museum
on 395 El Camino Real, Old Town Tustin. The Conservancy provides monetary
support the City’s Tustin’s Historic Registry plaque program.
The Historic Resources Advisory Committee specifies historic homes eligible
to display a speciallydesigned plaque indicating the year the structure
was built.
