Conservancy Co Hosts Preservation Workshop
Presentations on the Historical Register, the Secretary of Interiors Standards
and Historic Resource Surveys drew over 100 participants to a two-day
workshop co-hosted by the Conservancy, the California Preservation Foundation
and the City of Tustin. Held in City Council chambers, the event featured
panels of speakers who helped clarify which buildings might qualify for
listing on the prestigious National Register of Historic Places.
The first day’s event was followed by a tour of the LTA Blimp Hangar.
Participants found a special treat inside – the Goodyear Blimp.
Dwarfed by the size of the hangar, the blimp floated just above the ground.
The captain gracious- ly took workshop participants inside the cabin for
a quick look around.
The Conservancy provided funding for six City of Tustin staff members
to attend the workshop.
